PGR Disability Data
Introduction
Disability data for Postgraduate Research (PGR) students is collected and maintained by Student Services. This information is stored within the central student database (SITS) and is subsequently accessed by the MMS system. Within MMS, the relevant data is displayed on various dashboards, allowing users with the appropriate permissions to view and manage disability-related information for their students. Ensuring accurate and secure access to this data supports an inclusive and well-informed academic environment.
Roles That Can View Disability Information
The following roles have permission to access disability information for PGR students:
- Convener (PGR)
- Deputy Director of Teaching
- Director of Postgraduate Studies
- Director of Postgraduate (Taught)
- Director of Teaching
- Disabilities Adviser
- Disabilities Co-ordinator
- Exams Officer
- Head of School
- Module Administrator
- Module Co-ordinator
- PG Secretary
- Principal Supervisor (PGR)
- Secretary
Access to this data is restricted to these roles to ensure that only those with direct academic or administrative responsibilities can view and manage disability-related arrangements for students.
The Convener (PGR) and Principal Supervisor (PGR) roles will be imported automatically from Registry data into Supervision groups.
How to View Disability Information
To access disability data for PGR students within MMS, follow these steps:
- Locate the Research Module: Log in to MMS and navigate to the Research module.
- Select the Module Title: Click on the relevant module title to access the Module Overview.
- Select the Disabilities Tab: Within the Module Overview, click on the Disabilities tab to view the available disability information for PGR students.
By following these steps, authorized users can review and manage necessary arrangements to support students effectively.
