PGR: Annual progress reports
This section contains the frequently asked questions from students regarding annual progress reports.
Instructions on how to create an annual progress report can be found here.
Yes, some schools refer to the student part of the annual progress report as a self-evaluation.
As your reviewer may have already seen your report there is no mechanism in place for you to cancel a form. However, the Director of Postgraduate Studies and Postgraduate Administrator can return the form to you if it is within school policies.
Yes, your supervisor will be able to view your responses after you have submitted the Annual progress report.
If you wish to raise concerns that you do not feel comfortable with your supervisor seeing, you should share them with the Director of Postgraduate Studies (DoPG) in the first instance. You should also, however, feel free to approach the Registry Student Support Officer or the Associate Provosts.
All Research students should have access to either a RESEARCH or MS(ct)(Res) module within MMS. If you cannot see either of those modules, first check the My Modules portlet in MySaint. If you are still not able to view either module, please contact [email protected] with your student ID/matriculation number.
If you are able to view either a RESEARCH or MS(ct)(Res) module within MMS, but the Postgraduate Administration tool is not visible, please contact [email protected] with your student ID/matriculation number.
If you are not able to create a new form, check that there are no partially completed forms. The Annual progress report forms have a lifecycle that need to be completed before a new form can be created. If you see a link saying Created, that indicates a form has been started, but not submitted.
To access the form select the Created link and review the data that has been entered. You can now choose to complete and submit the previous form, or delete it by selecting the Delete button at the bottom of the form.
Yes, some schools request a review more than once a year, as long as all your self-assessments have been submitted, you will be able to create a new form.
PGR students can submit a data management plan as part of their annual progress review self-assessment within the first calender year of their studies. If it is after this point, please discuss the submission of your data management plan with your Supervisor.
